New Survey Finds Pain Gap – People with Lower Incomes and Less Education are in Pain More Often
Results of a new study show that 28% of the US population is in pain at any given moment and individuals with less education and lower incomes spend more of their time in pain. The researchers also found the average pain rating to be twice as high for individuals in households with annual incomes below $30,000 as for those in households with incomes above $100,000.

2008 Triumph Dinner Celebrates Extraordinary Individuals
The 2008 Triumph Dinner, held on April 18 at San Francisco's City Hall, was a moving event with stories of perseverance, dedication, hope and love. In presenting the John C. Oakley Pioneers in Pain Medicine, the Celina Field Caregiver, and the Triumph Awards, the organization honored three extraordinary people who have made a difference in the lives of many others.
